About Us
The mission of the John Garcia Youth & Wildlife Foundation is two-fold:
First, we support K-12 schools and youth related social service agencies in connecting urban youth to nature and wildlife conservation.
We do this by: Generating resources which will support scholarships, field trips, assemblies, and classroom experiences which emphasize nature, habitat and wildlife conservation.
Supporting teacher training and curriculum development which helps connect youth to conservation of wildlife and the wise use of our natural resources.
Second, we provide information regarding the prevention of meningococcal meningitis.
We do this by: Informing parents of the availability of the meningococcal meningitis inoculation program which is now available for young adults. www.cdc.gov and www.musa.org
